Eastgate Wharf is an exciting new residential development located along the western bank of the River Ouse in Lewes. A mixture of flats, houses, ground floor shops, and a new public square at the heart of the scheme aims to transform this once derelict site into a bustling destination for Lewes.
The design is a blend of modern approaches with traditional and sympathetic detail, sitting within the conservation area of Lewes, the design addresses the need for quality housing and retaining the special character of the area, all the while incorporating much-needed upgrades to local flood defense wall.
By opening access to the Lewes' river walk and creating stronger links to the Lewes High-street, as well as future developments to the north, the scheme is envisioned as something for the whole of Lewes to benefit from.
The scheme is currently in the Lewes Planning process and will post updates with its progress.
