Martin, working in conjunction with McVitty Interior consultants based in Chelsea Harbor, was approached by the Arora group to work on the Designs for the concept of a new InterContinental Hotel at the O2 in Greenwich London.
The 450 bedroom hotel also included a purpose-built conference facility accommodating 3,000 people, a ‘State of the art Spa’ and leisure area, three restaurants, two bars, and one unique sky bar with stunning views over Canary Wharf and the Iconic O2 building itself.
Martin also continued on the project and worked with Grove Developments (the construction arm of the Arora group) to finalise and complete the designs for the interior fit-out in December 2015.
The critical factor of the project was to maintain a high quality of finish whilst keeping a balanced eye on affordability and buildability. This was a process that flowed through the entire development of the design concepts.
